Despite breaking an engine mounting on today's fourth stage of the 2009/10 Trans Agulhas and losing five minutes to their closest challengers, Dave Barnett and Tjaart Oosthuizen still have a 45 minute lead over Andre Erasmus and Ryk Lombaard going into the final stage. Francois van Wyk and Brandon Thirion are in third in the modified class. All Barnett and Oosthuizen need to do to clinch their seventh title is to get to the finish at the Strand tomorrow.
