FlyingRocco Erasmus and Yvette la Grange were almost unbeatable the modified class in Durban's surf. Eight wins in nine heats over three days gave them a comfortable victory in the surf discipline in the Red Square 2010 P750 Inflatable World Championship. Barry Marx and Yolandi van Dijk chased them hard, but had to settle for second place. Consistent finishing by the husband and wife duo of Formyn and Beatrix de Kok gave them the final podium position.

The other competitors, all of whom showed a real turn of speed at times, suffered from mechanical problems or flips in the big surf and were left to fight for the minor placings. Lars Nilsson and Siyabonga Nkumbi were the best of the rest in fourth with Carl Talbot and Jasme Jordaan in fifth. Collin Gaffney and Bongani Ndesi had to settle for sixth.
